Meeting at 10.30 a.m. at Vaughn's Country cafe, then we walk via Jubilee Tower.

Directions: From jnct.3 on the M65, head south on the A675 towards Belmont, turn left onto Roddlesworth Lane at SD 659 218 and continue south, until this becomes Mill Lane at Halliwell Fold bridge. Continue along Mill Lane until it joins Tockholes Road. Turn left and continue north until you see Ryal Fold, near the Visitors' Centre, on the right. The walk: A circular walk, through trees, fields and lanes, then a short climb to Darwen Tower, across the moor and back to the car park. We can make it as long or as short as we want - 5 miles or more. If the weather is awful we could leave out the hill, but let's hope for a fine day!
