Meet at 10.30 a.m. at the Lowther Pavilion cafe, West Beach, (A584), Lytham,  FY8 5QQ, Tel. 01253 735523. The entrance to the Pavilion car park is from West Beach (the main road along the front). Through the gate, turn right past the Pavilion to the parking area at the front. The cafe is in the foyer.  The walk takes in the Windmill, Witches Wood, and Fairhaven Lake.  (5.2 miles). We can also divert into the park at Lytham Hall which has a climbable manmade hill called The Mount, apparently. (6.5 miles).

I should mention that the Stagecoach bus no. 68 goes from Preston, along Tulketh Brow and Blackpool Road, to Lytham, and stops at Lowther Park. Just walk through the Park towards the shore. They're quite frequent.
